 The Elementary school of Lycee after Anania Shirakatsy was founded in 2000. At the Elementary school such problems as preparing for school, educating love and interest towards the teaching process, interrelations between adults and children of the same age, aesthetic education, developing mathematical abilities, teaching Armenian and Russian languages, developing adaptive behaviour, etc. are solved. The Elementary school and the Primary school are in the same building and the transition from one system into another is than indirectly as well.
At the Elementary school talented pupils are revealed and they are given an opportunity to develop their talent further.
The pupils who have attended the Elementary School show excellent skills and abilities in the 1 st grade of Lycee. The following subjects are taught at the Elementary School: Mathematics, Speech Development, Ecology, Literacy, Literature, Russian Language, Art, Design, Life Skills, Plastering, Psychology, Dancing and Singing, Physical Education.
 The lessons start at 9:00 and last till 13:00, free days are Saturdays and Sundays. Children over 5 years can enter Elementary school. The children are provided with food during the time between the lessons. The transportation is done by special buses.
