Secondary school


The Secondary School of the Lyce’e was founded in 1998, when 2 groups of the 5 th and 6 th Grades were opened and the number of pupils studying there was 55.

Now the Secondary School has 13 groups (4 groups of the 5-th, 6-th and 7-th grades) and 184 pupils.

The educational program is carried out by the following working principles

  • general, which includes the after school program and is assigned for all grades
  • boarding school, which is assigned for the 6-th and 7-th grades.

The lessons start at 9:00 and finish at 14:30. The lessons last 40 minutes, there are 5, 10 and 15-minute breaks. The number of pupils in each class doesn’t exceed 16. Besides the teachers, each group has a pedagogue/supervisor who arranges educational and organizational activities.

Together with the main subjects such non-traditional subjects are taught as Etiquette Basic Principles, Life Skills, Dancing, Singing and Music, Art, Handicraft (Art composition, Computer Technologies).

The pupils take part in a number of activities: in "Shirakatsy days” they make interesting reports, competitions, show-quizzes; in “Gitunik” intellectual competition, at Olympiads, Sports and Athletics Events.

The students of Secondary School take part in international competitions such as annual picture exhibition-competition in Lidice, the Czech Republic; different competitions between CIS.

There are different hobby groups for pupils; chess, table tennis, basketball, karate, foreign languages (French); studios of drawing, recitation, design; chorus, philatelist club.

The students are transported by the school buses and minibuses.
